I’ve always loved that song and it’s of course much more poignant with Shane MacGowen dying this month. (Full marks he lasted as long as he did).
I also really liked this trifle that was part of the birthday / Xmas party I was at last night. It was filled with peaches and custard and brandy and jelly and jam rolls. It was awesome.
And I also really would rather we ate trifle and listened to the Pogues sing about Xmas eve together.
